Allamah Shibli Nu'mani (1857 - 1914) was a regarded researcher of Islam and Historian from Indian subcontinent during British Raj. He was brought into the world in Bindwal, Azamgarh locale of present-day Uttar Pradesh. He established the Shibli National College in 1883 and the Darul Mussanifin in Azamgarh. 

He was additionally an artist and was familiar with Arabic, Persian, Hindi, Turkish and Urdu.
